Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Food Production Assistant for Chesterfield Royal Hospital in Chesterfield. You will join a dedicated catering team delivering high-quality services to patients, visitors and staff, ensuring a memorable and positive experience.

You will collaborate with the ward teams to maintain efficient service and uphold hospitality standards in a healthcare setting. The role requires bulk ward-level service experience, adherence to food safety, and the ability to manage documentation,

Responsibilities

• Experience in bulk food service at ward level and adherence to food safety standards.
• Proficiency in completing and maintaining accurate meal service documentation, including temperature records and cleaning schedules.
• Skilled in wash up procedures, including mechanical dishwashing and hand washing of equipment.
• Ability to efficiently set up and clean trolleys, and maintain equipment and service areas in line with safety protocols.
• Strong understanding of onsite delivery and collection of ward level food items and associated documentation.
• Knowledge of reporting mechanical defects and coordinating repairs with the duty supervisor.
• Commitment to adhering to health and safety legislation and completing all required training and certifications.

We are seeking a dedicated Food Production Assistant to be an integral part of our dynamic catering team. In this role, you will deliver a wide range of high quality services to patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring a memorable and positive experience for all.
Collaborating closely with both the catering department and ward based teams, you will play a key role in maintaining efficient and effective service delivery.
