Job summary

Prime Appointments Ltd in Stansted is seeking a Manufacturing Team Lead for a busy food manufacturing site on a fixed-term contract until July 2027. The role supports the production team, ensures food safety and quality, and helps meet production targets. The shift pattern is 4 on / 4 off, 7am–7pm, with a view to progressing toward a Shift Manager position.

You will lead by example, coach colleagues, and collaborate across departments to optimise operations, safety, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in FMCG food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of food safety and Health & Safety requirements.
• Experience leading a team in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the production team, promoting a positive and respectful working environment.
• Maintain a strong food safety culture and ensure all products meet the required quality standards.
• Ensure team members follow Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Support the training and development of team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
• Monitor production performance against targets, including safety, quality, cost and output.
• Help identify and resolve production issues, making decisions to improve performance.
• Cover the Shift Manager's responsibilities during periods of absence.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to maintain smooth production operations.
