Wagstaff Recruitment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for a food manufacturing site in Gloucester (GL4). The role involves maintaining production equipment, carrying out root cause analysis and implementing preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.

The position offers a 2-day/2-night 12-hour shift pattern, salary £43,000–£46,000, pension, bonus scheme, training, and benefits including private health insurance and discounts.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained and NVQ level 3/ONC/HNC in engineering (Electrical or Mechanical).
• Experience with root cause analysis and fault-finding on food production equipment.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Good knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain food production equipment and machinery to industry standards.
• Carry out root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues in production.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Install and commission new food manufacturing equipment.
• Adhere to safety measures in all tasks performed.
• Provide support to production and maintenance teams to ensure efficient operations.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
