JDR Recruitment is seeking three Food Lecturers to deliver and assess learning at DAERA Loughry Campus, Cookstown. The role involves planning sessions, preparing materials, delivering subject knowledge and assessing learners within the agri-food sector.

Candidates should hold an Honours Degree in Food or related discipline. Enhanced security clearance will be required, and the contract runs 9 November 2026 to 31 May 2027.

Pay: Approx. £21.35 per hour
Hours: 37 hours | Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Contract: Temporary assignment - 9 November 2026 to 31 May 2027

JDR Recruitment is recruiting 3 Food Lecturers for Northern Ireland Civil Service assignments with DAERA at Loughry Campus.

The successful candidates will deliver and assess learning within the food subject area, supporting students and trainees to develop the practical knowledge and skills required within the agri-food sector.

The Role

You will:

• Plan, organise and deliver learning sessions.
• Prepare teaching materials and learner resources.
• Deliver subject-specific knowledge and skills.
• Plan, mark and record assessments.
• Assess learner competence and progress.
• Evaluate assessment results and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate learner and assessment records.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures and College protocols.
• Attend course and programme meetings as required.
• Provide feedback to programme managers.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must hold:

• An Honours Degree in Food or a related discipline.

No specific minimum amount of teaching experience is stated as essential.

Desirable

It would be advantageous to have:

• Previous experience delivering education or training courses.
• Experience assessing student learning.
• Experience working within the agri-food industry.

Security Clearance

Successful candidates will be required to complete the relevant pre-employment checks and obtain Enhanced security clearance
