Job summary

SourceCo Recruitment Limited is seeking a Laboratory Technician for a busy Technical and Quality team in Gloucestershire. The role focuses on hands-on laboratory work supporting product quality, safety, and compliance through routine testing and accurate record-keeping.

The ideal candidate has previous lab experience or a science degree, with the ability to work a rotating shift pattern, including weekends, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous laboratory experience would be advantageous, particularly within food manufacturing or quality control.
• Science-based degree or relevant scientific qualification preferred.
• Familiarity with HACCP, food safety or quality control is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine sampling and testing of raw materials and finished products.
• Complete microbiological testing using appropriate laboratory techniques.
• Undertake compositional and chemical testing.
• Carry out water testing and other routine laboratory analysis.
• Record, interpret and report laboratory results and complete Certificates of Analysis.
