Job summary

Pertemps Gloucester (Chiltern) Industrial is recruiting for a Laboratory Technician in Tewkesbury. This full-time, permanent role supports the Quality and Process team with routine chemical analysis, testing and data recording. You will work to COSHH standards and contribute to continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate has a science background, hands-on wet chemistry skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• A-Level Chemistry or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in chemical analysis or lab testing, preferably in manufacturing.
• Understanding of COSHH and safe chemical handling.
• Attention to detail with methodical testing and records.
• Good report writing and data recording.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 25 kg.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine chemical analysis of process solutions to specification.
• Monitor process chemistry and perform chemical additions/adjustments.
• Perform laboratory testing and quality investigations.
• Produce accurate test reports and maintain lab records.
• Interpret drawings/specifications to assess product quality.
• Maintain calibration records and ensure equipment traceability.
• Handle, store and dispose of chemicals per COSHH.
• Support investigations into non-conformances and deviations.
• Maintain a clean, safe laboratory environment.
