Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe in Llanidloes is seeking a Despatch Operative to ensure the efficient and timely movement of carcases and finished product onto refrigerated transportation, with due regard to safety, quality and legislative requirements. The role covers the hang off area through to loading and dispatch, in a safety-critical environment.

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 06:00am start. You will work under FSQM and health & safety procedures to maintain food safety and product integrity throughout

Responsibilities

• Movement/loading of carcases and boxed stock in the correct manner to protect product safety, integrity, legality, authenticity and quality.
• Stringing, scanning of stars associated with the movement of carcases, cut product and offal.
• Loading pallets, boxes, or carcasses and moving heavy pallets.
• Maintaining product quality and minimising damage and rejections to meet customer specifications.
• Report any evidence of unsafe or out of specification product, equipment, packaging or raw materials to the Loading Bay Team Leader/Supervisor.
