Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe in Llanidloes is recruiting a Loading Bay Team Leader to support the Loading Bay Supervisor and ensure the safe, timely movement of carcases and finished product in our chilled operation.

You will deputise for the Supervisor when required, perform routine loading tasks, maintain product safety and quality, liaise with internal teams and external bodies (FSA, OV), and help ensure compliance with FSQM and health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Numeracy and literacy required.
• Team working skills essential.
• Flexibility across shifts.
• HACCP Level 2 qualification.
• Desirable: Food Hygiene Level 3.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for the Supervisor in their absence.
• Undertake routine loading tasks including movement of carcases, cut product and offal and complete dispatch documentation.
• Move/load carcases and boxed stock safely to protect product safety and quality under FSQM and Health & Safety procedures.
• Liaise with internal departments and external bodies such as the Foods Standards Agency (FSA) and Official Vetinary (OV).
• Assist with identification, segregation and disposal of non-conforming product to prevent release into the food chain.
• Ensure the safe operation of loading bay equipment, including chillers, as per SOP.
• When required deputises for the Loading Bay Supervisor.
