Job summary

Star Salford Academy in Worsley, M28 0BB, is seeking a Food and Design Technology Technician to support teaching and learning in Design Technology and Food subjects. You will assist pupils, help maintain equipment, and contribute to a safe, well-organised classroom environment.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, knowledge of Health and Safety standards, and the ability to work as part of a team with strong organisational skills. This is a permanent full-time post.

Qualifications

• A Levels or Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent.
• Understanding of Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH and risk assessment in a school.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation as it relates to school work.
• Experience of keeping work records.
• Knowledge of safe working practices for handling hazardous equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils to enable an outstanding learning environment.
• Support learning and teaching and develop relationships across the school and community.
• Assist with maintaining a safe, well-organised classroom and equipment.
• Contribute to safeguarding and smooth running of lessons.
