An established industry player is seeking a Food Compliance Manager to join their tight-knit team in Hertfordshire. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your career while working closely with a supportive Technical Manager. You'll be responsible for driving high-quality technical standards across the manufacturing facility, mentoring team members, and leading various quality initiatives. With a commitment to staff development and a collaborative work environment, this position promises a rewarding career path in the food industry. If you are passionate about food safety and quality, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Food Compliance Manager role for a business that truly invests in its staff.
We assisted the Technical Manager in this large international food business a few years ago. During this time, they have developed their skills and knowledge with the company's support and funding for their Master's degree. This demonstrates how the organization invests in its staff; loyalty is a two-way street.
If you're serious about your career development, you will work alongside this supportive Technical Manager, who will encourage, coach, and mentor you to develop your technical skills and knowledge.
You will be the Technical Manager's right hand, deputising in their absence and driving high-quality technical standards across the factory. It’s a tight-knit, supportive team that navigates challenges with expertise, professionalism, and a sense of humor to diffuse any ‘oh uh’ moments!
We’re looking for potential: someone with a good grounding in food safety and quality. You could be a QA Supervisor ready for the next step, with internal auditing experience and familiarity with BRC standards. With two direct reports, you will create development opportunities for them through coaching and encouragement.
This is a highly varied role; you will work with NPD to conduct taste panels, organoleptic assessments, lead the HACCP team, develop and mentor the line QAs, and develop and lead GMP initiatives. In other words, it’s a comprehensive quality role with plenty of variety to keep you engaged.
This part of the business is based at a small manufacturing facility in Hertfordshire. The company is part of a global parent organization, offering access to development opportunities across the Group.
