Job Description
Food & Beverage Supervisor
Main Responsibilities
- Operational: Provide courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service, adhering to hotel standards.
- Supervise and demonstrate all duties in the assigned area according to the Master Task List, which is regularly reviewed and updated.
- Be flexible and rotate within different sub-departments of Food & Beverage or other hotel departments as assigned.
- Perform duties when rotated to other departments as per the Master Task List.
- Be fully familiar with all hotel services and facilities.
- Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations, including HACCP standards.
- Maintain food hygiene and safety, ensuring equipment is working properly and staff are trained.
- Perform duties common to all waitstaff and other assigned tasks.
- Report sales, guest complaints, and concerns regarding personnel or equipment.
- Follow opening and closing procedures for the outlet.
- Control inventory and supplies, ensuring par stock levels are maintained and wastage minimized.
- Assist in inventory checks and control of operating supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate with Kitchen and Food & Beverage Department on daily operations and quality.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Be familiar with emergency procedures and hotel policies on fire, safety, and law enforcement.
- Understand and embody Accor’s values, environmental charter, and ISO standards.
Food & Beverage Product:
- Assist in planning menus, advertising, and promotions.
- Use only fresh ingredients for food and beverage preparation.
- Monitor supplies to ensure smooth operations and reduce waste.
- Understand and explain food and beverage costs.
- Know menu items thoroughly and suggest pairings and upsells.
- Prepare and serve orders courteously and efficiently, following standards.
- Operate POS systems fluently and handle transactions accurately.
Guest Services:
- Handle guest inquiries courteously and follow up on complaints or issues.
- Maintain high service standards and a welcoming image.
- Build rapport with guests and maintain good relationships.
General:
- Adhere to employee rules, safety, and hygiene policies.
- Report punctually in uniform.
- Maintain personal hygiene and appearance.
- Foster good relationships within the team and across departments.
- Display a positive attitude and exercise self-control.
- Participate in briefings, training, and meetings.
- Handle lost and found items per hotel policy.
- Adapt to changing hotel functions and requirements.
Occasional Duties:
- Assist with inventory and stock checks periodically.
- Help organize festive promotions and other activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the F&B Manager.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Hospitality Management preferred.
- Experience in administrative support, preferably in hospitality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Flexible and willing to learn new challenges.
