Job summary

Eclipse Hotels Group at Holiday Inn Bristol Airport is seeking a Food & Beverage Service Supervisor to lead service across the Restaurant, Bar, Room Service and Meetings & Events.

You will welcome guests, present dishes, answer questions about ingredients and allergens, supervise team members, manage duties on shift, and uphold high standards of hospitality and safety to ensure a memorable guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar F&B supervisory role.
• Strong customer service skills and communication.
• Knowledge of local food safety laws and allergen handling.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team and manage shifts.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm welcome for guests and set the tone of the guest experience.
• Present and describe meals; answer questions about ingredients and allergens.
• Prepare and serve drinks to high standards; accommodate guest requirements.
• Supervise and allocate duties to F&B team during shifts.
• Act as Restaurant Host during busy periods and assist with duty management.
• Support stock taking and ordering; assist with daily tasks as needed.

This is but a small taster of what we would expect in this role:

• Create a warm welcome to everyone and set the tone for each of our guests’ experience.
• Present each meal that is a feast for the eyes and a treat for the taste buds.
• With your own signature flare, you’ll be turning our high standards into memorable service for
  each one of our guests, whether this be in our Restaurant, Bar, Room Service or Meetings & Events.
• Know your menus and products, our guests may ask questions about ingredients and allergens - be prepared to answer!
• Prepare and serve drinks to our high standards, whilst taking into consideration each guest requirement.
• Be able to identify VIP guests.
• Allocate roles and duties to the other F&B Service Members when on shift.
• Will act as our Restaurant Host during our busy periods.
• To act as Duty Manager for the property.
• Completion of additional tasks e.g., stock taking, stock ordering

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Communication Skills – Our guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you will need to be easy to talk to.

• Impeccable customer service skills.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
