Job summary

Mount Royal Hotel Edinburgh by The Unlimited Collection is seeking a Food & Beverage Manager to lead the catering operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will support event teams, handle F&B administration and finances, and ensure high standards across the hotel.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and guest engagement skills, be proficient with hotel IT systems, and communicate effectively to align with diverse expectations.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate strong team leadership and guest engagement.
• Proven leadership experience within hospitality operations.
• Ability to bring guest experience to life across hotel departments.
• Experience using IT systems relevant to hotel operations.
• Clear communication and organizational skills for varied expectations.
• Good command of English; second language is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day catering operations and guest service within the hotel.
• Provide operational support to Events Team with bookings and resources.
• Manage administrative and financial duties for Food & Beverage in line with company standards.
• Address questions and handle complaints, seeking senior guidance when needed.
• Promote best practices and suggest improvements to maintain standards.

Job description

We are looking for a charming and thoughtful individual with a passion for service excellence to join our team as a Food & Beverage Manager.

As a Food & Beverage Manager You Will

• Be responsible for the day to day management of the Catering operations at the Hotel, ensuring that the team offers a warm welcome and service experience to our guests, managing expectations by constantly seeking opportunities to improve the guest experience
• Offer operational support to the Events Team by checking bookings volumes and the allocation of resources and staff
• Undertake and oversee Food & Beverage administrative and financial responsibilities in accordance with Company standards, procedures and legal obligations
• Ensure questions are answered and complaints are managed, seeking advice from senior management as necessary
• Ensure best practice at all times and put forward ideas as to how standards, processes and procedures can be maintained and improved

The Successful Food & Beverage Manager Has

• Excellent team leading and guest engagement skills
• Excellent leadership skills
• An ability to bring the guest experience to life throughout the hotel
• Ability to work with IT systems
• The ability to communicate and organize yourself in line with different expectations
• A good command of English is essential, a second language is advantageous
