Job summary

Radisson Blu Hotel Glasgow is seeking a Food & Beverage Breakfast Assistant to join the team. The role focuses on supporting the leadership team to ensure guest satisfaction during breakfast service, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering excellent customer experiences.

You will work in a busy hospitality environment, requiring a friendly, detail-oriented approach and a collaborative mindset. Right to work in the UK is required, with opportunities for training and progression within Axiom

Qualifications

• Experience in busy restaurant or bar preferred but not essential.
• Excellent personal presentation.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving beverages as requested by guests.
• Ensuring tables are set and ready for guests at all times.
• Taking and delivering guests' orders in a timely manner.
• Maintaining high cleanliness standards in Food & Beverage outlets.
• Demonstrating knowledge of the menu and handling guest queries.
• Communicating guest requests and dietary needs to the team.
• Coordinating with Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams about menus, wait times and special requests.

Your role

You will work closely with the food and beverage leadership team in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the Hotel and the satisfaction of guests.

Responsibilities of Food & Beverage Breakfast Assistant

will include but are not limited to:

• Preparing and serving any beverages requested by guests;
• Ensuring that all tables are set and ready for welcoming guests at all times;
• Ensuring that all guests' orders are taken and executed in a timely manner;
• Ensuring that cleanliness is kept at the highest standards at all times in the Food & Beverage Outlets;
• Having good knowledge of the food and beverage menu;
• Responding to guests' queries on the menu selection;
• Communicating any guests' questions on the menu, the length of wait and product availability with the Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams, as well as any additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the teams accordingly.

The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details and trusting.

The core skills and experience required to succeed

• Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry;
• Previous restaurant or bar experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential;
• Excellent personal presentation;
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures;
• Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision;
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing ;
• To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.
