Job summary

The Lensbury is seeking a part-time, weekend Food & Beverage Assistant to join our team in Teddington. You will support opening/closing of F&B areas, take orders, upsell items, and serve beverages to guests.

You will handle payments, ensure safety standards, and coordinate with kitchen staff to deliver timely meals and drinks. Focus is on delivering excellent guest experiences across all F&B outlets, with opportunities to work in Banqueting and Members' Lounge.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as waiter/bartender or similar preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with opening and closing of food and beverage areas, ensuring readiness and cleanliness.
• Interact with customers, take orders, and provide excellent service.
• Upsell and suggest additional food and beverage items.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately.
• Adhere to safety and health regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Prepare garnishes, mix ingredients, and select proper glassware.
• Stay updated on current food and drink trends and new menu items.
• Carry out duties in all F&B areas including Banqueting and Member's Lounge.

The Role

Reporting to and working closely with the Food and Beverage management team to fully understand all duties and communicate day to day changes.

• Assist with opening and closing down of all food and beverage areas, ensuring areas are ready for service and are cleaned down and secure at the end of each shift
• Interact with customers, take orders, and provide excellent customer service
• Upsell and suggest additional food and beverage items to enhance the guest experience
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customer
• Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
• Adhere to all safety and health regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
• Prepare garnishes, mix ingredients, and ensure proper glassware is used for each drink
• Stay updated on current food and drink trends and new menu items
• Carry out duties in all F&B areas, including Banqueting and Member's Louge when required
