Job summary

The Lensbury, part of Iconic Hotels and Resorts, is seeking a friendly waiter to join our Food & Beverage team at our riverside venue in Teddington. You will assist with opening and closing F&B areas, take orders, and provide memorable guest service as part of a collaborative team.

Ideal candidates will have previous waiter experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a waiter or in a similar role preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management to ensure efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with opening and closing of F&B areas and ensure readiness for service.
• Interact with customers, take orders and provide excellent service.
• Upsell and suggest additional food and beverage items.
• Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately.
• Adhere to safety and health regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery.
• Create memorable experiences for guests.
• Stay updated on trends and menu items.
• Carry out duties in all F&B areas including Banqueting and Members' Lounge when required.

About us

Part of Iconic Hotels and Resorts, The Lensbury is located on the Banks of the River Thames at Teddington and is home to an exclusive leisure club, a 155 bedroom hotel, meeting and events space, restaurant and bar, Spa and 25 acres of gardens and grounds.

The Role

Reporting to and working closely with the Food and Beverage management team to fully understand all duties and communicate day to day changes.

• Assist with opening and closing down of all food and beverage areas, ensuring areas are ready for service and are cleaned down and secure at the end of each shift
• Interact with customers, take orders, and provide excellent customer service
• Upsell and suggest additional food and beverage items to enhance the guest experience
• Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
• Adhere to all safety and health regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
• Create memorable experiences for our guests
• Stay updated on current food and drink trends and new menu items
• Carry out duties in all F&B areas, including Banqueting and Member's Lounge when required
