Job summary

The Lensbury in Teddington is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant (Breakfast) to join our hospitality team. You will open and close F&B areas, take orders with a smile, and provide excellent guest service while assisting with beverages and light banqueting duties.

Role involves cash handling, upselling, and collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely service. We offer meals, parking, and access to facilities on-site in a busy hotel and leisure environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a waiter/bartender or in a similar role preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Open/close F&B areas; ensure readiness and cleanliness at start and end of each shift.
• Interact with customers, take orders, and provide excellent service.
• Upsell and suggest additional F&B items to guests.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages; handle cash transactions.
• Adhere to safety and health regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Prepare garnishes, mix drinks, and ensure proper glassware.
• Stay updated on trends and new menu items; work across F&B areas.
• Carry out duties in all F&B areas including Banqueting and Members' Lounge when required.

The Role

• Assist with opening and closing down of all food and beverage areas, ensuring areas are ready for service and are cleaned down and secure at the end of each shift
• Interact with customers, take orders, and provide excellent customer service
• Upsell and suggest additional food and beverage items to enhance the guest experience
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customer
• Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
• Adhere to all safety and health regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
• Prepare garnishes, mix ingredients, and ensure proper glassware is used for each drink
• Stay updated on current food and drink trends and new menu items
• Carry out duties in all F&B areas, including Banqueting and Member's Lounge when required
