Job summary

The University of Bath is seeking two Food & Beverage Assistants to support the West Hospitality team in its catering operation. You will take orders, serve food and drink, operate tills and help keep food stations well stocked and clean.

The role involves early mornings, evenings and weekends, on a 5/7 rota, 36.5 hours per week. Training and uniforms are provided and there are opportunities for development within the department.

Job description

The University Hospitality Department provides catering to students, staff and external customers throughout the academic year and during the summer months. There are numerous outlets run by the Hospitality Department offering a range of dining and beverage options.

About the role

The West Hospitality team has two vacancies for Food & Beverage Assistants within our catering operation. In this role, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the catering operation and deliver a consistently high standard of customer service. Key duties include taking customer orders, serving food and drink, operating tills, stocking food stations, and assisting with cleaning and clearing tables and catering areas.

The role includes early morning, evening and weekend working on a 5 out of 7 days per week contract (36.5 hours per week). The weekly shift pattern consists of straight shifts only, no split shifts.

Training and uniforms are provided, and there are opportunities for development and progression within the department.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 36.5 hours per week.
