IKEA Croydon is hiring a Food & Beverage Assistant to join our hardworking team in London. You’ll serve food, take payments at tills, and help maintain a welcoming restaurant environment with a strong emphasis on food safety.

The role is part-time, 12 hours per week, weekends only, with shifts from 07:00–22:30 on Saturdays and 08:00–18:15 on Sundays. Start date 17 October 2026, hourly rate £14.80, with potential flexibility discussed at interview.

WHAT WE OFFER

• Start date of employment will be: 17th October 2026.
• Competitive hourly rate of £14.80 per hour.
• The available working hours are as follows;
• 12 Hours, working 2 days per week working weekends only.
• Your shifts will range from 07:00 to 22:30 on Saturday and 08:00 to 18:15 on Sunday, you are required to be fully available within these outlined working hours.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• While previous food and customer service experience can be beneficial, we are open to candidates who demonstrate a readiness to be actively involved in the work.
• Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
• Be self-reliant and motivated, ready to work independently and as part of our team.
• Ability to remain organised and detail-orientated, even when things get busy.
• Compliance with health and safety guidelines necessitates that applicants are 18 years of age or older.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• The role will involve a variety of tasks, where you will be required to serve food, take payment at tills, clean and clear the restaurant and work behind the scenes to prepare food.
• Customer focused, by working together to create the best customer experience. Listen, act, and exceed their expectations every day.
• Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
• Support your colleagues, lend a hand, and create a positive work environment, contributing to a proud team.
• Remain on your feet throughout the shift and lift items regularly to replenish stock.
