Job summary

IKEA is looking for a Kitchen Production Assistant to support meal production in the co-worker restaurant, including meatballs and hot dishes, at our Armthorpe site. You will prepare meals using ovens and kitchen equipment and help create a great Swedish-food experience for colleagues and partners.

The role involves handling multiple tasks, ensuring safety in a busy environment, managing waste, and adhering to a cleaning schedule to keep the kitchen spotless.

Job description

As a Kitchen Production Assistant, you will support in producing meals in our busy co-worker restaurant - including our meatballs and hot dishes! If you enjoy serving great food, smoothing operations, and creating an enjoyable food experience for your fellow coworkers, this role is for you.,

• You will be preparing and making meals using our ovens and kitchen equipment to offer a taste of Sweden to our co-workers and external partners.
• Managing multiple tasks and priorities to ensure IKEA remains a safe place for people to work.
• Preparing for the next day's trade, as well as managing waste and working in a sustainable and cost-conscious way.
• Following a cleaning schedule and making sure the cleanliness of the kitchen is to a high standard.

• You enjoy working in a busy role, where you will be managing multiple priorities and working to deadlines.
• Be able to manage your own tasks, stay motivated, ready to play your role in the Food team.
• Ability to remain organised and detail-orientated, even when things get busy. The Start Date of employment will be 20th October 2026.
• £15,736.50 per annum, 22.5 hour contract.
• £10,491.00 per annum, 15 hour weekend only contract.
• 22.5 hours per week working 3 days over 7 including alternate weekends.
• 15 hours per week working weekend only, Saturday and Sunday.
• Hours of operation for this role are 6am until 10pm and shifts will fall within these times.
