Job summary

We Manage Jobs (WMJobs) is seeking a Food Bank Adviser for Malvern Hills District Food Bank Network. The role delivers a generalist advice service across multiple locations with some casework, using empathic listening to empower clients to set goals and access appropriate support.

You will interview clients, research options using Advisernet, and record outcomes in Casebook while ensuring GDPR compliance and quality reporting for all partners involved.

Qualifications

• Experience helping and advising people in an advice capacity.
• Ability to research, analyse and interpret complex information and present clear reports verbally and in writing.
• Commitment to Citizens Advice service principles, equality and diversity and relevant policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide a generalist advice service to Malvern Hills Food Bank users at multiple locations with some casework as required.
• Interview clients using sensitive listening and empathetic questioning to understand problems and help set goals.
• Using Advisernet resources to find, interpret and communicate information to assist service users.
• Identify referrals for specialist casework and ensure appropriate follow-up actions.
• Maintain detailed case records for continuity, retrieval and reporting, ensuring GDPR compliance.
• Attend progress meetings and support reporting requirements for the project and stakeholders.
