30 hours per week, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday (includes a 1-hour unpaid lunch break).
Term-time plus 8 Training Days
£17,265.00 - £17,539.00 pro-rated. Pay award pending.
We are seeking a Food and Design Technology Technician to join us from 1 September 2025 to support the Faculty. The role involves preparing equipment, materials, tools, and ingredients for practical lessons. Responsibilities include clearing workspaces and ensuring they are tidy and ready for subsequent use. The successful candidate will support teaching staff during practical sessions, assist with demonstrations, and may lead small group interventions when required. Additional support to students, especially those with SEND or identified as high risk, to help them engage effectively in practical learning is also a key aspect of the role.
The ideal candidate will be organized, methodical, and conscientious, with good communication skills. They should be proficient in using IT for duties such as stock ordering and administrative tasks. Willingness to undertake necessary training for the role is essential.
