Job summary

Away Resorts is seeking an energetic F&B team leader to manage a busy bar and restaurant at Piperdam Leisure Resort. You will motivate a team of F&B assistants, drive revenue, and ensure excellent guest service while managing rotas, stock, and costs.

Hours are variable, with evenings and weekends required. A Level 2 hygiene certificate is preferred but on-site training is available. This role offers career progression within Away Resorts across our park network.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of F&B assistants in a busy bar and restaurant.
• Manage rotas to ensure appropriate cover at all times.
• Identify best practices and upsell effectively to guests.
• Control margins by coordinating with FOH and kitchen teams on stock and costs.
• Handle customer complaints and coach staff to improve performance.
• Motivate and develop the team to deliver consistent, excellent guest experiences.

Location:Piperdam Leisure Resort, Dundee, DD2 5LP, Nr Birkhill

Hours:Variable Hours, Fixed Term Contract - Full Time - Evenings and Weekends required.

Remuneration: £13.05 per hour - paid weekly!

Must be 18+ due to licensing laws

We need someone who understands that food and drink are central to a happy holiday. Someone who can look after our guests’ every whim when they eat, drink and relax in our bars and restaurants.

What you’ll be doing

Leading by example, you’ll be motivating a team of F&B assistants to provide excellent service to customers in our busy bar and restaurant. This includes:

• Being at the heart of the action, serving customers, clearing tables, solving problems and leading your team
• Managing rotas so that we always have the right level of cover.
• Identifying and sharing best practice with team, including upselling effectively
• Helping to control margins by working alongside the FOH and kitchen teams to control food stock, minimise wastage and manage cleaning and other costs sensibly.
• Dealing with customer complaints and managing performance within your team
• Helping to build a motivated team of F&B assistants who take pride in delivering delight, even when we’re exceptionally busy.

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you’ll need to work your magic on bank holidays and weekends too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

If you feel you have the ability to lead a team with confidence in a busy environment and you can tick the following boxes, we want to hear from you:

• Previous experience in a fast-paced and busy F&B environment
• Experience of driving revenue – we can help you with training.
• A problem solver who can manage difficult situations well.
• A champion in delivering excellence in customer service with evidence of previous successes.
• Preferably a level 2 hygiene certificate but this is not a deal breaker as we can do this training on site.

It’s the icing on the cake if you have specific experience on a holiday park, but don’t worry if you don’t, we provide lots of training.
