About the role

The Garden Court Brasserie restaurant, seating 110, has been serving locals and guests for many years at the Chateau on the Park – Christchurch, a DoubleTree by Hilton.

We are currently looking for a full-time Food & Beverage Supervisor. In this role, you will manage the performance of the hotel restaurant outlet while on shift, support your team with daily activities, and ensure brand service standards are met with the highest quality. You will lead and develop your team to ensure a consistent, high level of service.

Previous experience as a Food & Beverage Supervisor is preferred. We seek a natural leader with a passion for hospitality, a positive attitude, professional presentation, and the ability to motivate and guide the team.

Excellent communication skills are essential for team building and liaising with other hotel departments.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Supervise and support daily restaurant operations
  • Note: These will predominantly be night shifts
  • Supervise the team, ensuring brand standards are met and guest expectations exceeded
  • Resolve conflicts and issues as necessary
  • Train and develop team members
  • Maintain professionalism and stay informed about VIP guests, hotel events, local attractions, and activities

Skills and experience

  • Experience in a Food and Beverage Supervisory role
  • Fluency in English for professional communication with guests and team members, both in person and over the phone
  • Experience with POS systems
  • Ability to resolve problems and conflicts efficiently under pressure
  • Well-presented, organized, and calm demeanor
  • Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends

It is advantageous to have:

  • Previous experience in a hotel environment
