The Food & Beverage Assistant role at Meliá London offers a full-time opportunity to join a global hospitality family. You will deliver warm, personalised service across our outlets, while supporting daily operations and ensuring brand standards are met.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Food & Beverage, restaurant, bar or hospitality environment is desirable.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service with a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, professional and personalised service, ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience.
• Prepare restaurant and bar areas before each service, ensuring tables, equipment and service stations are fully set to brand standards.
• Assist with the efficient service of food and beverages, ensuring orders are delivered accurately and promptly.
• Maintain excellent knowledge of menus, daily specials and hotel facilities to confidently assist guests and promote additional products and services.
• Support Waiters and Chef de Rang throughout service to ensure smooth operations and excellent teamwork.
• Attend daily team briefings and communicate effectively regarding VIP guests, special events, menu changes and operational priorities.
• Handle guest requests and resolve service issues professionally, escalating concerns where appropriate to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety while following all Health & Safety procedures and SOPs.
• Minimise waste and handle equipment, crockery and glassware carefully to prevent breakages and ensure operational efficiency.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programmes while demonstrating the Meliá values and commitment to service excellence.
