Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, dedicated Food and Beverage Team Member to support dining services at Esher Manor Care Home in Esher, Surrey. You will assist residents with meal choices, ensure tables are set to SOPs, and help keep the dining area clean and well-presented throughout the day.

The role emphasizes compassion, honesty, and accountability, with opportunities to grow within a large provider. A DBS check will be required and eligibility to work in the UK must be proven.

Qualifications

• High standards of personal hygiene.
• Compassion and commitment to delivering culinary services to residents.
• Experience in a similar setting, restaurant or hotel desirable.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate beneficial.
• A DBS Disclosure check will be required.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with selecting meal options at dining.
• Ensure dining tables are set according to standard operating procedures.
• Keep front of house clean, tidy, and well-presented; remove and replenish dirty crockery.
• Provide fresh homemade cakes, biscuits, finger foods and fruit in the bistro areas.
• Be aware of residents' dietary requirements.

Job description

Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member will be to support with the dining service and assisting residents with their meals. Other responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options at the time of dining.
• Ensuring that dining tables are set in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
• Keeping front of house clean, tidy and well-presented, and that dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day.
• Ensuring fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas are replenished throughout the day as well as finger food and fresh fruit options.
• Being aware of resident's dietary requirements.
