CDE Group in Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland, is seeking a Fold Operative to safely set up and run folding machinery, ensuring parts meet drawing specifications and quality standards. You will perform changeovers, inspect outputs, and maintain a clean, compliant work area.

As a key member of our manufacturing team, you’ll support continuous improvement, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to meeting production targets while adhering to safety practices and 5S principles.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a machine shop role.
• Proven organisational skills with the ability to plan, organise and control daily workload.
• Good interpersonal skills.

• Available to work flexible hours.
• Clearance to work in UK.

Responsabilidades

• Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and use PPE as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Work towards individual and departmental performance targets.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to achieve production objectives.
• Carry out any other duties within reason and capability associated with the role.
• To adhere to CDE policy and practice.

Job Purpose

The Fold Operative is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of folding machinery, ensuring products are manufactured to the required quality standards and production schedules. The role involves machine setup, operation, routine maintenance checks, quality inspection, and contributing to continuous improvement activities while maintaining a safe and organised work environment

Required Criteria

Desired Criteria

• - Minimum 5 years’ experience of manufacturing CNC processes
• - Minimum 5 years’ experience of Machine Shop processes
• - Experience in development of production lines, following lean manufacturing principles
• - Educated to GCSE level in Mathematics and English
• - Experience with ERP systems
