CDE Group in Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland, is seeking a Fold Operative to safely set up and run folding machinery, ensuring parts meet drawing specifications and quality standards. You will perform changeovers, inspect outputs, and maintain a clean, compliant work area.

As a key member of our manufacturing team, you’ll support continuous improvement, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to meeting production targets while adhering to safety practices and 5S principles.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a machine shop role.
• Proven organisational skills with the ability to plan, organise and control daily workload.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good team player.
• Available to work flexible hours.
• Clearance to work in UK.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate folding machinery in accordance with production requirements and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure all folded components meet drawing specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Carry out routine quality inspections and accurately complete production records.
• Perform machine changeovers safely and efficiently.
• Identify and report equipment faults or quality issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and support 5S activities within the work area.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and use PPE as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Work towards individual and departmental performance targets.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to achieve production objectives.
• Carry out any other duties within reason and capability associated with the role.
• To adhere to CDE policy and practice.
