Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking an experienced Foiling Machine Operator for a Bradford-based role. You will support the foil area, with a focus on efficient setup, operation, and quality control in a busy production environment.

The role requires 2+ years of B1 foiling experience, familiarity with Bobst machines, and the ability to work with various dies and MIS systems. Rotating days/afters and potential night shifts during peak production weeks are included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years foiling machine experience (B1) or equivalent.
• Bobst machines knowledge would be beneficial.
• Experience using Flat Dies, Fluted Dies and Multi-Level Dies is essential.
• Embossing experience is advantageous.
• Experience making products from paper weight to heavyweight.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Familiarisation with MIS systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Setting up, operating and running a B1 Foiling Machine on a day-to-day basis.
• Producing quality packaging at high speeds.
• Using various dies to transfer foil onto substrates.
• Checking end product against film/copy supplied.
• Monitoring quality and addressing issues during runs.
• Identify machine or tooling faults and notify Production Manager.
• Any other ad hoc duties as required.

Foiling Machine Operator

Perm role, £34k pa, Rotating Days/Afters, 37.5hrs per week

Do you currently work in the Print Industry and are looking for a change? Or do you have previous Print Industry experience that you would like to revisit? Then I may have the role for you.

I am looking for an experienced Foiling Machine Operative for a busy and expanding company based in Bradford, supporting the smooth flow of materials through the Foiling area.

Day to day tasks for the successful candidate will be:

• Setting up, operating and day-to-day running of a B1 Foiling Machine
• Producing quality packaging at high speeds
• Using various dies to transfer the foil onto a substrate
• Checking end product against film/copy supplied
• Check throughout run for quality and/or any issues
• Identify any Machine or Tooling faults and notify the Production Manager
• Any other ad hoc duties as required

Key skills required for the role include:

• Must have 2+ years B1 Foiling Machine (or equivalent) experience
• Knowledge of Bobst Machines would be beneficial
• Experience using Flat Dies, Fluted Dies and Multi-Level Dies is essential
• Embossing experience is advantageous
• Experience of making products varying from Paper Weight to Heavyweight
• Good communication and team working
• Familiarisation with MIS systems is required

You will be required to work on a rotating Days and Afters shift pattern. Days are 6am to 1.45pm from Mon to Thurs and 12.30pm on a Friday. Afters are 1.30pm to 9pm from Mon to Thurs and 12.15pm to 7.45pm on a Friday. Please be mindful that during peak production weeks, night shifts will be required to be worked.

The role is advertised as Permanent from Day 1 with a starting Salary of £34k pa.
