Job summary

Searcys is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor for the National Portrait Gallery in London. You will lead front-of-house staff, ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction, and support team development. The role requires dedication to hospitality standards and a hands-on approach to operations.

Working with the Restaurant Manager, you’ll help deliver a world-class dining experience, uphold brand values, and contribute to a storied London venue. A strong leadership presence is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role within upscale or fine dining.
• Deep understanding of hospitality standards and guest relations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor; calm under pressure.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire FOH staff to deliver attentive, polished service.
• Ensure smooth daily operations including service flow, reservations and guest satisfaction.
• Support training and ongoing development of team members.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and compliance.
• Assist with inventory control and cost management.
• Monitor and address guest feedback with professionalism and urgency.
• Uphold brand values and culture while fostering a positive team environment.
