Job summary

The Plough Inn in Oxford is seeking a Front of House Supervisor to join our busy city-centre pub. You’ll help run the pub day to day, oversee the front of house team, and ensure guests have a welcoming experience.

You’ll manage shifts, training, reservations and daily admin, while upholding licensing rules and company procedures. If you love hospitality and want to progress to management, we’d love to meet you.

Qualifications

• Experience in busy pub/bar/restaurant environment.
• Experience supervising a team or willingness to step into management.

Responsibilities

• Run the pub day to day and manage frontline service.
• Open/close the pub and handle cashing up and till reconciliations.
• Supervise and train front of house team; support scheduling.
• Handle reservations, events and guest enquiries with a guest-first approach.
• Ensure licensing, health and safety compliance, and company procedures.
