Butler Ross Ltd. in Reigate is seeking a dedicated Supply Planner to maintain product availability and manage inventory levels for ambient food products.

You will translate forecasts into purchase requirements, raise and track purchase orders, and work closely with suppliers to confirm production and delivery dates. The role demands strong planning, analytical skills, and effective cross-functional communication in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply planning, purchasing, procurement, or inventory control.
• Food or FMCG industry experience is required.
• Strong planning and organisational skills to manage high priorities and deadlines.
• Confident and persistent supplier communication to obtain clear commitments and raise risks.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, including using spreadsheets to review forecasts, stock and orders.

Responsabilités

• Translate forecasts, customer requirements, and lead times into purchase requirements.
• Raise and maintain accurate purchase orders in line with approvals and supply plans.
• Maintain regular contact with suppliers to confirm production, readiness, shipment and delivery dates.
• Proactively chase information and orders, address slippage and recovery plans where needed.
• Monitor stockholding, stock cover, availability, inbound supply and projected demand.
• Recommend actions to address shortages, excess stock, ageing inventory and slow-moving lines.
• Review changes in forecasts, customer demand and promotional activity.
• Highlight variances and adjust supply plans and purchase orders accordingly.
• Maintain accurate supplier, order, lead-time and delivery information in systems.
• Monitor delivery performance and provide updates to stakeholders.
