Job summary

Permanent People Ltd. in Manchester is seeking a hands-on Recruitment Team Leader to own an established team within a growing FMCG recruitment business. You’ll work closely with directors to drive growth, develop talent, and maintain a collaborative, values-led culture.

The role blends leadership with hands-on recruitment and offers the chance to shape the team as the business scales in the FMCG sector.

Qualifications

• Proven biller with leadership experience.
• Track record developing junior recruiters/rookies into successful consultants.
• Experience across permanent recruitment with some exposure to interim/contract.
• Background in FMCG, manufacturing, or food recruitment is ideal (but not essential).
• Open-minded, people-first leader who can guide a team through transition.

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching, and developing a team of recruiters.
• Supporting both perm and interim desks.
• Acting as the key bridge between consultants and directors.
• Driving performance while maintaining a supportive, grown-up culture.
• Playing a key role in scaling the business and building brand presence in the FMCG market.
