Job summary

Henderson Brown Recruitment is seeking a Production Shift Manager for a leading FMCG operation in Cambridgeshire. You will own a production area, lead a shift team on a 4 on, 4 off day pattern, and drive safe, efficient output while meeting customer demand.

You will use performance data to improve yield, reduce waste and ensure traceability, coach and develop staff, uphold food safety and health & safety standards, and embed a culture of continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a production leadership or management role in an FMCG operation.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and operational compliance standards.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage, motivate and develop a team.
• Confident decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy production environment.
• Proactive, hands-on shift management with a focus on achieving KPIs and maximising productivity.
• Experience using performance data to drive improvements, increase yield and reduce waste.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, traceability and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own a production area within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
• Manage a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off, ensuring targets are met safely and efficiently.
• Coach and develop the production team to deliver shift KPIs and improve productivity.
• Collaborate with the site team to drive continuous improvement, reduce waste and improve yield.
• Use performance data to drive decisions, address maintenance issues and ensure traceability.
