Job summary

Maldon Salt Ltd seeks an operative to join the operations team in manufacturing, packing and distributing our premium salt products. You will operate plan, equipment and systems across primary and secondary packaging, ensuring quality, safety and timely output.

This 1-year fixed-term contract covers 37.5 hours per week, with a rotating schedule. The role involves continual improvement, teamwork and adherence to health and safety standards to sustain Maldon Salt’s tradition of quality.

Qualifications

• Counter balance FLT Licence.
• Experience in high speed FMCG manufacturing operations.
• Desirable: HACCP/ISO/COSHH knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a counterbalance forklift to move salt bags from racking to hoppers.
• Support Fusion Capture with barcode scanning and labeling processes.
• Service packing room with necessary packaging components for scheduled orders.
• Prepare components for the next shift to ensure smooth operations.
• Operate and maintain equipment in primary and secondary areas to meet quality and efficiency standards.
• Complete shift/weekly checks of plant and equipment and perform quality inspections.
