Job summary

Greencore Group in Warrington is seeking a Maintenance Planner for our state-of-the-art site specialising in Italian ready meals. You will optimise maintenance plans, drive CMMS adoption and balance safety with availability.

You will lead scheduling, manage contractor activity, review KPIs with Engineering Management and ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies while supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in an engineering environment.
• Experience in FMCG, fast-paced seasonal operations.
• Awareness and experience in engineering and contractor deployment/management.
• Attention to detail with strong analytical thinking.
• Experience using a CMMS system.

Responsibilities

• Control planned departmental activities ensuring maintenance standards and safety.
• Support CMMS adoption and train maintenance staff.
• Convert work requests into actionable maintenance plans.
• Manage planning risks and adjust work orders to meet targets.
• Communicate maintenance plans with Operations, Technical, and Supply Chain teams.
• Propose and implement area improvement initiatives.
• Plan and control all planned maintenance and engineering tasks.
• Develop maintenance schedules to maximise equipment availability.
• Lead daily meetings and review KPI with Engineering Management.
• Maintain daily maintenance records and follow-up actions.
• Schedule and manage contractor activities ensuring safety compliance.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as required.
