Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited in Basingstoke is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing operation. You will maintain machinery, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and ensure production lines run safely and efficiently.

You will take ownership within the shift team and support operational performance. Experience in FMCG manufacturing is essential, with strong fault-finding skills and the ability to diagnose and repair industrial equipment up to 415V.

Qualifications

• Proven FMCG manufacturing experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing industrial machinery and equipment.
• Electrical experience up to 415V and safe working practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and implement practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair production line machinery and plant equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently and safely.
• Support smooth production runs and minimise downtime.
• Investigate recurring issues and identify root causes.
• Escalate production, operational and quality issues when needed.
• Monitor performance and communicate issues affecting targets.
• Keep records of maintenance work using IT systems.
• Collaborate with teams to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Complete shift handovers and communicate outstanding issues.
• Provide technical leadership within the shift team.
• Act as Site Duty Manager when required.
