Yeo Valley Production Ltd invites an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our site engineering team at Newton Abbot, shaping strategy and driving performance across people, plant and process development.

You will champion Lean, safety, and capital project delivery, build high performing teams through apprenticeships and PDPs, and partner with SMT to deliver sustainable improvements in dairy manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Engineering Qualification (HND/Degree).
• Proven, demonstrable experience within FMCG environments and a track record of delivering sustainable improvements.
• Excellent Leadership Qualities.
• Proven ability to set, manage/control revenue and capital budgets.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Techniques.
• Proven track record of specifying and running medium to large scale projects from conception to completion.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental compliance and standards.
• Knowledge of RCM techniques and principles.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise health and safety for Co-Owners.
• Influence and deliver the wider business best practices and strategies as part of the Group Engineering Leadership Team.
• Help shape site vision with SMT through an integrated strategic plan.
• Provide visionary leadership for the Engineering Team and develop a High Performing Team through Apprenticeships and Personal Development Plans.
• Lead Capital Investment Projects and Budgets for the site delivering sustainable manufacturing capability and performance.
• Drive continuous improvement of plant performance, processes and ways of working to meet KPIs.
• Negotiate and optimise service contracts and improve budget control.
