Job summary

Meridian Business Support is recruiting a Production Operative to join a leading drinks manufacturer in Tadcaster (LS24). The role offers an excellent hourly rate, structured training and the opportunity to extend beyond the initial contract.

You will support bottling and packaging operations, ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. Shift patterns include 2 on / 2 off, then 3 on / 3 off, with Days 06:00–18:00 and Nights 18:00–06:00, on-site in

Qualifications

• Experience as a machine operator or similar in FMCG/drinks manufacturing.
• Experience on fast-paced production lines.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures.
• Good mechanical awareness.
• IOSH or health and safety training is advantageous.
• Understanding of TPM/WCM/DMAIC continuous improvement methods would help.
• Positive, solution-focused attitude and strong team-working skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery.
• Keep lines supplied with materials and packaging.
• Carry out quality checks and record results.
• Use digital systems to record production data.
• Move materials and finished products around the site.
• Support housekeeping, cleaning and basic machine maintenance.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
