Job summary

McLaughlin & Harvey WorkSpace is seeking an FM Technician specialising in Refrigeration to join our team in Northern Ireland. You will maintain and repair refrigeration equipment across client locations, and perform planned preventive maintenance as part of a broad building services scope.

The role requires knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems, a full driving licence, and CAFM/MS Office capabilities.

Qualifications

• MS Office proficiency and CAFM systems familiarity.
• Ability to use CAFM systems and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular planned preventive maintenance visits on client premises, completing reactive tasks and minor repairs as requested by the client.
• Execute refrigeration/HVAC Planned Preventative Maintenance Tasks on site(s) per contract scope.
• Maintain understanding of commercial refrigeration systems, including packaging and controls.
• Respond promptly to service calls from Helpdesk and complete repairs efficiently.
• Prioritise maintenance and repairs to meet response times and coordinate with supervisor for delays.
• Order and maintain materials, tools and equipment per procedures.
• Coordinate with 3rd party contractors for quotations or specialist repairs.
• Ensure subcontractors’ works meet standards and budget.
• Carry out remedial works and installations as required.
• Advise on capital purchases; manage surveys and reports.
• Maintain asset registers and ensure equipment tagging.
• Represent the company professionally to clients and on-site teams.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and on time.

What you will be doing

The successful candidate would be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of refrigeration equipment including building services across a variety of client locations within Northern Ireland.

• Carry out regular planned preventative maintenance visits on client’s premises, completing reactive tasks and minor repairs as requested by the client.


• The Execution of refrigeration/HVAC Planned Preventative Maintenance Tasks on the site / sites in line with the Contract Scope and Specification


• Must have good understanding of commercial refrigeration systems, i.e refrigeration pack systems and controls.


• Respond promptly and in a positive manner to service call requests from the Helpdesk and undertake repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible.


• Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed response times and if there are delays, liaise with your Supervisor / Manager for direction.


• Order and maintain materials, tools and equipment, in accordance with company procedures.


• Advise the Helpdesk where 3rd party contractor attendance is needed, either for quotation or to effect specialist repairs, and to provide the job specification.


• Manage the attendance of subcontractors and ensure they complete works to the agreed standards and within budgeted costs.


• Carry out remedial works, minor alterations and installations.


• Advise where capital purchases are needed. Manage surveys and reports.


• Maintain asset registers ensuring all equipment is tagged.


• Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times, developing a good working relationship with MCLH Helpdesk and Client site teams.


• Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately, on time and in line with Company procedures.
