TeacherActive is recruiting a Fluent Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant for a mainstream Primary School in Monmouthshire. The role starts September 2026 and involves supporting pupils in a bilingual environment.

The successful candidate will have fluent Welsh, UK classroom experience, and strong communication skills, with a focus on building positive relationships and a proactive approach to learning.

Qualifications

• Fluent Welsh language skills.
• UK primary school classroom experience.
• Experience supporting children in a classroom setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support class teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons.
• Provide classroom support for pupils across the Primary phase.
• Help create a positive and nurturing learning environment where Welsh is actively promoted.
• Work one-to-one with a child with ALN.
