Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting for an FLT Reach Truck Driver / Warehouse Operative in Middleton (M24). The role combines FLT operation with general warehouse duties, offering ongoing work, weekly pay, and opportunities for progression.

Shifts run Mon-Thu, with Friday hours and break times, and pay rate is £14.10 per hour. The job involves 50% FLT Reach Truck tasks and 50% warehouse duties, including picking/packing, loading/unloading, and stock organisation.

Qualifications

• Valid accredited Reach Truck licence.
• Minimum 12 months experience operating an FLT Reach Truck.
• Ability to perform physical work and lift up to 25kg.
• Good communication and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong spatial awareness and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Operate an FLT Reach Truck safely and efficiently.
• Pick and pack customer orders.
• Load and unload goods and organise stock for dispatch.
• Receive goods and inspect for quality; report faults.
• Assist with warehouse duties as required.

Shifts

• Monday - Thursday 9.00am - 6.30am & Friday 8.00am - 5:30pm
• 1 hour unpaid break

Day-to-Day Duties

As anFLT Reach Truck Driver / Warehouse Operative, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

Please bare in mind, this role is 50% FLT Reach and 50% warehouse operative.

• Picking and Packing customer orders
• Loading and unloading customer orders
• Potential development: Training on a saw machine and router machine
• This is a physically demanding role, manual handling and lifting up to 25kg.
• Operating an FLT Reach Truck safely and efficiently
• Carrying out pre-use inspections and reporting any faults
• Receiving goods into the warehouse and stowing pallets
• Checking quantity and visual quality of incoming and outgoing goods
• Unpacking and storing incoming deliveries
• Organising stock for dispatch
• Moving goods around the warehouse as required
• Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times

Essential Skills

As anFLT Reach Truck Driver / Warehouse Operative, you will need:

• Valid accredited Reach Truck licence
• Proven experience operating an FLT Reach Truck ( minimum 12 months experience)
• Able to complete physical work and lifting up to 25kg.
• Good communication skills and ability to multi-task
• Strong spatial awareness
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Good organisational skills
• Reliable and self-motivated attitude
• Flexibility and willingness to undertake a variety of tasks
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable Experience

• Minimum 12 months as a warehouse operative (Essential)
• Proven experience operating an FLT Reach Truck ( minimum 12 months experience) (Essential)

Training Provided

• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout.
