Job summary

Abstract Recruitment is recruiting for a Forklift Operator to join a global logistics leader with over 40 years of experience across 60 countries. Location is MK43, Wootton, Bedfordshire.

You will hold a valid VNA licence, operate forklift equipment, and contribute to efficient stock handling. The role includes day-to-day warehouse tasks, safety compliance, and potential for permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Valid, in-date VNA licence is essential.
• FLT experience is preferred.
• Good understanding of English, including reading, counting and following instructions.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Physically fit to perform warehouse duties and pallet handling.
• DBS check is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate VNA safely and efficiently.
• Pick and sort stock accurately.
• Wrap pallets and locate freight in warehouse locations.
• Load containers and re-stack pallets when required.
• Support general warehouse operations.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.

Location: MK43, Wootton, Bedfordshire

Pay Rate: £13.51 per hour

Standard Shift

• Monday to Friday
• 12:00-20:00 OR 13:00-21:00

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating VNA safely and efficiently.
• Picking and sorting stock accurately.
• Wrapping pallets and locating freight in the correct warehouse locations.
• Loading containers and re-stacking pallets when required.
• Supporting general warehouse operations.
• Following all health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Valid, in-date VNA licence - essential (non-negotiable).
• Previous FLT experience is preferred.
• Good understanding of English, including reading, counting and following instructions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Physically fit and able to carry out warehouse duties, including container loading and pallet re-stacking.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A DBS check will be required.
