Job summary

IPL - Part of the Asda Family is seeking forklift operatives in Altofts, United Kingdom. The role involves driving and operating FLT in a 0-degree environment with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Applicants should hold Reach and Counterbalance forklift licenses and be flexible regarding transport to and from work. Good English and basic IT skills are required, along with a proactive, can-do attitude. Training and development are offered within a supportive team.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking i applications from individuals who would be interested in the Fork Truck Driver. Ideally candidates will have had some prior experience, however this is not essential if you have the attitude and qualities we are looking for. Candidates must have Reach and Counterbalance Forklift license. Please note, that Despatch regularly start work earlier than the rest of the factory and often work within a 0-degree environment. Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate flexibility in transport arrangements to/from work.

Responsibilities

• Driving and FLT correctly and in a safe manner
• Following H&S procedures whilst using an FLT
• Using a Reach or counterbalance truck and an electric pallet truck
• Any other ad hoc requests
• Must be able to follow instruction
• Good attention to detail
• Excellent peripheral vision and spatial awareness
• Basic IT skills and the ability to speak and read basic English
• A "can do - will do" attitude
• A friendly and approachable attitude
• Hardworking and flexible
