Job summary

Blue Arrow is currently recruiting an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver for our warehouse in Northampton (NN1). The role operates on a 4 on / 4 off rotation with alternating day and night shifts. A valid B1 Counterbalance FLT licence and at least one year of warehouse experience are required.

An on-site induction and a Drug & Alcohol test are part of onboarding. Pay includes standard hourly rate and overtime, with PPE and health and safety compliance expected.

Qualifications

• Valid and in‑date B1 Counterbalance FLT licence.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse/logistics environment.
• Good level of English (speaking, reading, writing).

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately load and unload customer products.
• Verify and confirm all incoming and outgoing loads.
• Communicate discrepancies and report potential service issues promptly.
• Complete all relevant documentation, picking, and packing tasks.
• Operate manual handling equipment as trained.
• Follow company health & safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Report any damage to property or equipment and elevate appropriately.
• Undertake any additional duties as directed by the line manager.

FLT Counterbalance Driver - Northampton (4 on / 4 off)

We are currently recruiting an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join our well‑established warehouse logistics client in Northampton (NN1).

Location

Northampton, NN1

Shift Pattern

4 on / 4 off rotation (2 days and 2 Nights per rota)

Nights: 17:45-05:45

Days: 5:45-1745Pay Rate

Pay Rate

Standard: £16.21 per hour (PAYE)

Overtime: £24.02 per hour (PAYE)

Contract

Temporary ongoing - full-time hours guaranteed

Please note: An on-site induction and a Drug & Alcohol test are required as part of the onboarding process.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience using 3.5 tonne double pallet handlers (desirable).
• Good level of English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Strong teamwork, numeracy, and basic IT skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions in a busy environment.
• Physically fit with the ability to perform manual handling tasks.
• Flexible with shift patterns and working hours - must be available to work days and nights.
