Westray Recruitment is recruiting experienced FLT Operatives to join a busy warehouse and logistics operation in Hartlepool. This temporary-to-permanent opportunity requires candidates with a valid, externally accredited Counterbalance FLT licence.

The successful candidate will support warehouse operations through the safe movement of stock, loading and unloading, pallet handling, order preparation and general operational duties.

Qualifications

• A valid and in-date Counterbalance FLT licence.
• Externally accredited qualification RTITB, ITSSAR or NPORS.
• Previous FLT and warehouse experience.
• Experience working safely in a busy operational environment.
• Reliable and responsible approach to work.
• Willingness to perform manual handling and general duties.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Operating a Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently.

Westray Recruitment is recruiting experienced FLT Operatives to join a busy warehouse and logistics operation in Hartlepool.

This temporary-to-permanent opportunity requires candidates with a valid, externally accredited Counterbalance FLT licence. The successful candidate will support warehouse operations through the safe movement of stock, loading and unloading, pallet handling, order preparation and general operational duties.

The role includes physically demanding work, manual handling and the operation of specialist machinery. New starters will learn the machinery, processes and warehouse layout before progressing to regular FLT duties.

The employer places considerable importance on training, experience, safety and staff retention. All applicants will attend a meet-and-greet interview before starting, and a full, honest CV is required.

Shift Pattern

• 06:00 to 14:00
• 14:00 to 22:00

Pay rate: £14.38 per hour

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Operating a Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading vehicles and containers
• Moving, stacking and storing pallets within the warehouse
• Supporting goods-in and goods-out operations
• Checking stock and reporting discrepancies
• Preparing goods and pallets for dispatch
• Learning and operating specialist machinery where required
• Carrying out manual handling and general warehouse duties
• Working safely within busy and potentially congested areas
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workplace
• Following all site procedures and health and safety requirements
• Supporting the wider warehouse operation when required

Applicants must have

• A valid and in-date Counterbalance FLT licence
• An externally accredited qualification issued by RTITB, ITSSAR or NPORS
• Previous FLT and warehouse experience
• Experience working safely in a busy operational environment
• A reliable and responsible approach to work
• A willingness to complete manual handling and general warehouse duties
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A full and honest CV outlining their employment history

Please note that in-house or expired FLT licences cannot be accepted for this position.

A driving licence would be advantageous.

PPE Requirements

Operatives will be required to wear approved PPE, including:

• Safety boots
• Orange high-visibility clothing
• Bump cap
