Job summary

Randstad UK on behalf of DS Smith in Milton Keynes is seeking an experienced Warehouse FLT Driver for a day shift role. You will operate FLT counterbalance and reach trucks in a busy warehouse, handling goods from receipt to dispatch, and working on a 4 on 4 off pattern from 6am to 6pm.

The position is initially for 3 months with potential progression to permanent roles. Applicants must hold a valid FLT Counterbalance and Reach license, have warehouse experience, and demonstrate reliability,

Job description

Are you an experienced FLT Driver? Are you based in or around Milton Keynes?

We have an initially temporary role available within the DS Smith site. This role is ideal for someone with previous Warehouse experience, an FLT Counterbalance licence, reach truck experience and considers themselves to be punctual, reliable as well as proactive.

Role: Warehouse/FLT driver - Days

Shifts: X4 on and X4 off. 6am - 6pm

Pay: £15.00ph

Duration: 3 months initially

Location: DS Smith, Anderson Gate, Milton Keynes MK4 4AE

Role & Responsibilities

As a Warehouse FLT Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklift trucks within a busy warehouse environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods, from receiving to dispatch. You'll be part of a friendly, collaborative team committed to providing excellent service.

Main tasks include

• Operating FLT counterbalances and reaches trucks to move and stack goods.
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles.
• Ensuring the accurate and efficient movement of goods within the warehouse.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a warehouse operative, including FLT operation.
• Possession of a valid FLT Counterbalance & reach license (proof required).
• Experience operating reach trucks.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 6am-6pm.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
• Physical stamina for warehouse work.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
