Job summary

DS Smith Milton Keynes is seeking an experienced Warehouse FLT Driver for a dayshift position. You will operate FLT counterbalance and reach trucks in a busy warehouse, handling goods from receiving to dispatch and supporting a collaborative team.

The role requires valid FLT Counterbalance and Reach licenses, reliable attendance, and the ability to work 6am–6pm on a 4-on/4-off schedule. Initially a temporary 3-month assignment with potential for progression.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a warehouse operative including FLT operation.
• Valid FLT Counterbalance & Reach license (proof required).
• Experience operating reach trucks.
• Ability to work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 6am-6pm.

Are you an experienced FLT Driver? Are you based in or around Milton Keynes?

We have an initially temporary role available within the DS Smith site. This role is ideal for someone with previous Warehouse experience, an FLT Counterbalance licence, reach truck experience and considers themselves to be punctual, reliable as well as proactive.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Warehouse FLT Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklift trucks within a busy warehouse environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods, from receiving to dispatch. You'll be part of a friendly, collaborative team committed to providing excellent service.

Main tasks include

Operating FLT counterbalances and reaches trucks to move and stack goods.

Loading and unloading goods from vehicles.

Ensuring the accurate and efficient movement of goods within the warehouse.

Maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Adhering to all health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

Previous experience as a warehouse operative, including FLT operation.

Possession of a valid FLT Counterbalance & reach license (proof required).

Experience operating reach trucks.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Ability to work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 6am-6pm.

Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

Physical stamina for warehouse work.
