Job summary

Manpower is currently recruiting for an FLT Operative to work at Beckton, E6 6LF. The role involves operating Reach or Counterbalance FLT trucks to move stock, load/unload vehicles, and support warehouse tasks across day/evening shifts.

You will hold an external FLT licence with RTITB qualification and bring prior FLT experience, safety awareness, and good numeracy. Weekly pay and a supportive team environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid external FLT licence – no in-house training.
• Industrial Reach Lift Truck or Counterbalance Lift Truck experience
• Recognised RTITB FLT qualification (or equivalent)
• Previous FLT experience
• Good awareness of Health & Safety
• 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (or equivalent)
• Racking experience is desirable
• Double handler experience is not essential but preferred
• Warehousing qualifications such as NVQs is not required but preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate FLT trucks safely and efficiently
• Load and unload vehicles
• Move stock around the warehouse
• Complete picking and put-away tasks
• Carry out daily vehicle and safety checks
• Use warehouse systems including scanners and EWM
• Follow Health & Safety and site procedures at all times
• Maintain good housekeeping standards and follow 5S principles
• Work closely with the Production and Warehouse teams
• Support continuous improvement activities across site

FLT Operative - Reach or Counterbalance
Location: Beckton, E6 6LF
Pay rate: £13.85 per hour then £16.21 after 13 weeks
Contract: Temp ongoing
Shifts: Monday to Thursday 6am-2pm, Friday 6am-1pm and Monday to Thursday 2pm-10pm, Friday 1pm-8pm (rotating shifts)
The FLT Driver will be responsible for safely operating Reach or Counterbalance forklift trucks to move stock, load and unload vehicles, and support warehouse operations during the night shift. The role requires working safely, following warehouse procedures, and maintaining high standards of housekeeping and accuracy.
