Added Value FLT Driver – Days
Doncaster Plant
Role description

We are currently seeking to recruit an FLT Driver to provide an efficient system of pallet movement of materials including finished goods, packaging and pallets across the full site.

Responsibilities:
  1. To operate forklift trucks to transport finished products and packaging in a safe & controlled manner, ensuring there is no damage to the materials.
  2. Move finished goods from production areas to internal / external warehouses.
  3. Provide quality inspection of all pallets to be moved, either finished goods or packaging, and reject and report all substandard products.
  4. Supply the production department with packaging requirements and pallets, return any foreign pallets and excessive packaging materials to stock.
  5. Remove packaging from finished goods pallets to allow them to be fed onto the lines.
  6. Perform general warehouse duties including stock checking & housekeeping.
  7. Complete daily FLT safety checks & record in record book.
Required skills / qualifications:
  • Fully trained and qualified forklift truck driver.
  • Ability to work on own initiative & works well in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate verbally.
  • Ability to operate strapping and shrink-wrap machinery.
  • Familiarity with Health and Safety policy procedures & Hygiene rules and procedures.
  • Understanding of work instructions and follow company procedures.
What we offer
  • Based on Grade 4 of the harmonised pay scales. Salary Minimum £24,726 - £29,782 Maximum (1686 hours).
  • Salary sacrifice pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributions.
  • Monday-Friday working – condensed hours where appropriate.
